This fishing venue is based in Gauteng, Magaliesburg.
I feel that this little resort is a gem in Magaliesburg that isn’t as well known as it should be. The resort is actually ideal for a family that wants a quick weekend away or maybe wants to try out camping for the first time.
A stand-out item for me are the deer on the property. They are a foreign animal to South Africa, so it is nice to see. Also, they are very tame, so hand feeding them is a massive treat for the kids … yes, OK, for the adults as well.
Summer time the Super-tube is awesome fun. It might just be straight down, but it has enough pace to make up for it. The pool gets a little crowded but not enough that you can’t have fun.
Don’t expect a massive dam to cast into. Come to have fun. Bring the 8ft rods with spare bass rod. You will have a quick fight with some decent size fish. While you wait, enjoy a coffee and watch the deer.
EastCo Magalies is a venue that sees us once a year gladly. Looking forward to the next visit.
