Carp Fishing at Willow Waters in Kromdraai, Gauteng

This is my kids favorite fishing venue for a few reasons:

• Many fish species that affords them opportunity to walk and fish
• Great grass areas all over so that the kids can walk barefoot
• Close to west gauteng (westrand)
• Fun netting small fish on the banks when main fishing is slow
• 7 dams to explore safely

We were still a little rusty after a long lockdown but had to fish as a quickly as possible once we were allowed to do so. The objective was to catch a carp at Willow Waters, Gauteng in the main dam during winter.

Unlike other days at this venue, we blanked. However, it was still a beautiful day out and we are looking forward to returning and recording some catches!
